You can tryout Android on PC using Vmware, Virtualbox, you can install Android on iPhone, then why not install Android Natively on your PC / Laptop / Netbook?

Install Android on PC Natively

Note: If you have troubles with getting your internet to work in it put your Phone in USB tethering mode, plugged it into your PC.

1. Download Android from here android-x86-1.6-r2.iso
2. Download UNetBootin

Step 1. Run UNetbootin and use it to prepare your usb flash drive. Once finished, reboot with USB set to highest precedence in BIOS boot preferences. (alternatively you can use CD/DVD with a image burning tool like poweriso to achieve the same)

Step 2. Simply reboot your computer with the USB drive, select “Live CD” – which Runs Android-x86 without installation.

Step 3. After a couple seconds, you’ll see the Android desktop on your netbook or computer! You can quickly access one of the apps on the home screen, or open the menu to see more options.

It works very good as a quick way to get online; you can use it for quick boots, or a portable alternate for Puppy linux. Here’s a working demo:
