Can't play music in Ubuntu

it is due to ubuntu did't shipping with these mp3,mp4.avi multimedia
codecs.it can install by
1.Go to 'Application' then 'Ubuntu software Centre'
2.Type 'ubuntu restricted extras' in search box
3.Double click on 'ubuntu restricted extras'
4.click 'install'button
Now enjoy&feel Ubuntu
